We are seeking a skilled and experienced Qualified Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and safety regulations. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in a variety of settings.

We’ll need you to be able to:

Installation:

  • Install new electrical wiring, conduits, and fixtures.
  • Install electrical control panels and distribution boards.
  • Install and configure electrical systems, including lighting, power outlets, and security systems.

Maintenance:

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults and malfunctions.
  • Test electrical circuits and equipment to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.

Repair:

  • Diagnose and repair electrical problems in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Replace faulty electrical components, such as switches, outlets, and circuit breakers.

Compliance:

  • Adhere to all electrical codes and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all electrical work performed.
  • Quality Control:
  • Inspect work for accuracy and adherence to building codes and regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve construction issues.

Experience / knowledge:

  • Previous experience working in the insurance industry, or complaint support, ideally a minimum of 2 years.

Qualifications:

Certification: Valid electrician's license or certification. NAP IT or NICEIC

  • Experience: Proven experience as a qualified electrician.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical theory, codes, and safety regulations.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in using electrical tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to test and sign off own works.
