We are looking for a customer focused, Multi Trader to join our expanding repairs division.
Responsible for carrying out a wide range of responsive repairs in people’s homes, following water and fire damage. Working with the home owner to deliver a high quality finish.
We’ll need you to be able to:
- Carry out general maintenance works, which include but not limited to basic electrical, carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, painting and decorating.
- Comply with and British Standards, manufacturers requirements, specifications, legislation, policy and procedure.
- Collect the necessary materials from our Stores to enable works to be carried out in a single visit.
- Deliver duties in the most environmentally friendly and efficient way possible to ensure a sustainable and reduced carbon emission service.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely, in accordance with our code of conduct with aspect to our policyholders and their homes whenever working in or outside of the property.
- Carry out works to the requirements and obligations to the Health and Safety at work Act and all specific Health and Safety polices required by the Company. Wear appropriate clothing, ID, uniform and PPE for specific tasks.
- Offer an excellent level of customer service - be respectful, positive, polite, on time and listen to the needs of residents.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness at all times by the use of dust sheets and/or boot covers and leave properties and a clean, compliant and safe condition.
- Complete paperwork after each job promptly and accurately detailing materials used, works carried out and any other repairs required for completion whilst inside the property.
- Work as a team with all the Trinity Claims Team, including in particular liaising with Building Services and TFR teams, supervisors, managers and customer experience teams.
- Maintain stock in depots, stores and van stock at the correct levels. Keep any tools provided in good condition.
- Ensure that vehicles and any other modes of transport are maintained to a high level of cleanliness and any damage/ disrepair is immediately reported to a supervisor or manager.
- Attend any training as required by your supervisor/ manager including (but not limited too) toolbox talks, safeguarding and any health and safety requirements.
- Report any corners relating to health and safety, workmanship or defects to on the property to a supervisor/ manager.
- Carry out any other duties that may be required in the future for the Trinity Claims as the service develops.
We’re Looking for:
Skills required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be experienced in maintenance and building works
- Able to make sound judgements, find solutions to complex issues and problems, and identify and manage risk
- CSCS card
- A valid UK driving licence and the ability to travel between sites and offices across all regions.
- Must be able to submit presentable and accurate paperwork including PDA database information as per requirements of the contract to establish works are carried out and coding costing information is obtained

Experience / knowledge
- A proven track record of working in Social Housing/Maintenance/Construction industry.

- Possess a relevant trade qualification and/or experience in relation to building, maintenance or technical background.
